Maths week celebrations

Here are some photos of us baking to celebrate Maths week!

We made chocolate chip muffins, banana chocolate chip muffins and an Otai drink with Room 6 and 7.

Some of us counted 5's and some of us made a Maths game with Miss Manuele and Miss Mangaoa.

We had a fun day!

Mrs Nathan had 5 muffins and had to put 3 jellybeans on each muffin. How many jellybeans would she need?

Here is Steve and Blake trying to figure out the answer

This is Bella, this is how she worked out the answer and found out that Mrs Nathan would need 15 jellybeans.

Reading Eggs Best Effort throughout the school holidays

Excellent effort to Justice Pua for winning these movie tickets for himself and an adult for completing various Reading Egg activities over the school holidays!

Can not wait to hear what movie you went to see and how it was!!!

Reading to Room 7

This week we were writing about our holidays. This is Justice and Lisa reading their stories to someone in Room 7.

Our learning intention for this week was adding detail to our stories.

At the bottom, there is a photo of us holding our published stories.

Reading Eggs

This is us on Reading Eggs in the ICT Suite.

We are so lucky that we have won a sponsorship from Honda who have paid for our reading eggs until February 2015.

We like going on Reading eggs because we get to do fun activities and learn heaps about high frequency words, letters and sentences.

Miss Tuapawa is going to give a prize a week to the student who does their best and gets the most points by doing heaps of activities online.

We can do this at home if we have a computer/laptop/ipad/tablet and the internet.

"I can't wait to log in at home"

Jessica's story about her weekend

This is Jessica's story about her weekend.

We all really liked it because she added 4 details about her experience.

Room 14 want to go and see this movie too, because Jessica said it was cool!

What day did you go and watch that movie, Jessica?
